Analyst: Grayson's seat favoring Republicans
Political analyst Stuart Rothenberg has a new report out today that rates Florida's 8th Congressional District as more favorable to Republicans.
The seat, now held by freshman Democrat Alan Grayson of Orlando, is listed a "toss-up/tilt Republican" and today, Rothenberg added the footnote, "moved benefiting Republicans." Florida 24, held by Democrat Suzanne Kosmas, remains "toss-up/tilt Democratic," according to the report.
"We can no longer dismiss the possibility of a Republican wave so large that Democrats could lose their House majority," Rothenberg writes. "We stress, however, that we currently expect Republicans to fall short of the 40 seats they would need. Scott Brown’s victory in Massachusetts doesn’t mean that every Republican candidate will win in November."
