Another Crist/Obama photo for the Rubio campaign?
President Obama just emerged from Air Force One. He shook Gov. Charlie Crist's hand, and the two spoke briefly. The handshake lasted 27 seconds, according to the pool report. Crist must be a fast talker given what he said he was going to say. He did hand Obama a letter conveying his points.
“The president tightly gripped the governor’s hand and clutched his arm. Vice President Biden gathered close for a tight photo of the three – in case Marco Rubio’s campaign is so inclined to use it," NYT reporter Jeff Zeleny joked.
At the Board of Governors meeting at USF later in the day, Crist was asked why he didn’t attend the town hall. “Well, I was with him today, the only Republican to be with him, and I was proud to be there because it was the right thing to do,” Crist said. “It’s important for us to work together for the betterment of our people, and I’ll do it every single day.”
