Former Rod Squader Todd McWaters quit the Jim Davis campaign on Monday after less than a month. He was a Davis organizer in Northwest Florida, but he's gone to work for Coalition for Bipartisan Progress, the Charlie Crist 527 that has attracted other Smith refugees.
McWaters said he was fed up with the Davis campaign's singular focus on I-4 and South Florida and accused them of ignoring Panhandle Democrats. Josh Earnest from the Davis campaign said McWaters had told the campaign he quit for personal reasons and that he wasn't living up to their expectations.
More to come in tomorrow's Times.
