Another group aims to take out Amendment 5



Similarly named to the group that will be formally unveiled today by Sen. Mike Haridopolos comes the Coalition to Protect Florida's Economy. Actually, the group has been around for quite a while and its primary goal will be squashing any notion of a services tax.

It will also focus on a legal challenge to Amendment 5, better known as the "tax swap." More here. Well-known Tallahassee lawyer Barry Richard intends to file a lawsuit this week or early next week. "I would never agree to do it if I didn't believe there was a valid argument to be made," Richard said, adding he was too consumed with the guns-to-work lawsuit to elaborate.
