The 'anti-Skip' vote?

The Bill McCollum folks, who were able to watch Big Brother tonight instead of election returns, quickly fired off the first insults of the general election season. They took Democrat AG opponent state Sen. Skip Campbell to task for losing sbout 35 percent of the vote to a woman who did not spend any money or time campaigning.

“Tonight, we couldn't help noticing how many Democrats voted against Skip Campbell - choosing a complete unknown instead,” said McCollum campaign manager Phil Vangelakos. “We continue to receive support from prominent and grass roots Democrats who have told us they can't support the weird liberal policies of Skip Campbell.”

“Tonight’s a very very bad day for him indeed. Bill McCollum is guaranteed to receive the anti Campbell vote that this unknown candidate received tonight."

And from the Campbell campaign: "The choice is clear. Bill McCollum has spent the last five years as a Washington lobbyist, his record onconsumer issues is freightening and his association with convicted felon JackAbramoff needs to be explained."
