Aronberg's tough campaign strains his own wishes
Dave Aronberg has proven a scrappy campaigner. But is he too scrappy for his own standards?
Back when the Democratic state senator entered the race for attorney general, he sat down with Buzz's Adam C. Smith and said he welcomed a spirited primary "as long as it's not a nasty, destructive primary." Months later, Aronberg has attacked rival Dan Gelber for ties to BP, including misleading campaign mailers, and his new TV ad rips Gelber as a "Miami lawyer." Gelber has his own ad, where he goes after Aronberg's "dishonest attacks."
