Atwater for U.S. Senate? Some would like that
A trusted source confirms the buzz we'd been hearing about Republicans trying to coax CFO Jeff Atwater into the U.S. Senate race (much like they apparently did with Connie Mack.)
"There are people whispering in his ear," the source says. And trying to feel out how he would perform. State Rep. Rachel Burgin tweeted about a month ago: "Just got polled asking if I was going to vote for @George_LeMieux or @JeffAtwater for U.S Sen. Something I should know?"
So far Atwater has not taken the bait.
