Awaiting the news on 2012 GOP convention in Tampa
OXON HILL, Md. -- The Buzz is in place at the Gaylord National convention center, where in a short while the 2012 Republican National Convention site selection committee will enter a room and pick either Tampa, Phoenix or Salt Lake City.
All signs point to Tampa. Gathered outside the meeting room are Florida Republican activists Sharon Day and Deborah Cox-Roush. "We boldly promoted our state," Day said.
"I'm very excited but very guarded," Cox-Roush said. "Everybody is reporting we've got it, but we just want to be sure."
