Obama confidant David Axelrod will host a "student summit" Wednesday in Gainesville, part of a push to re-energize the youth vote that helped deliver the presidency for Democrats in 2008.

The 6 p.m. event will be at the J. Wayne Reitz Union, Rion Ballroom. Actor/musician Tyrese will also attend.
