Bayliss and Gutierrez chairing PAC for youngish GOPers

Republican operatives Armando Gutierrez Jr. and Slater Bayliss today announced the launch of Maverick PAC (MAVPAC) Florida, a federal political action committee whose national chairs are George P. Bush, son of Jeb, and Jay Zeidman. Per a release, MAVPAC is "comprised of next-generation Republicans, generally under the age of 45. MAVPAC members commit their time, talents, and money to promote conservative principles of personal and fiscal responsibility in public service. "

"I'm excited to lead such a successful effort into Florida. MAVPAC Florida will get young professional conservatives involved in the most important issues effecting the future of our state and our nation," said Gutierrez.

"We're entering the most important election cycle in a generation, and MAVPAC Florida will give a voice to the next generation of leaders who support candidates dedicated to growing our economy, keeping our nation safe, and upholding conservative values," said Bayliss.

"Nobody is more qualified to ensure MAVPAC Florida is a success than Armando Gutierrez Jr. and Slater Bayliss. They have lived and breathed Florida politics for years, and have the experience and knowledge to get young people across the state involved in supporting the conservative leaders America needs," said national Co-Chair George P. Bush.
