Bill McCollum back in the Beltway

SNR Denton announced today that Bill McCollum has joined the firm's Washington office to lead a state attorneys general unit.

The firm said it "offers clients a proactive team with direct experience in managing the nuances of an atorney general matter, spotting trends ahead of potential investigations, responding to investigative inquiries and meeting the challenges of litigation where law, policy and politics converge."

"I was attracted to SNR Denton because of its energy, commitment and excitement in building a global platform and its commitment to building the best state Attorneys General practice in the nation," McCollum said in a news release. "With the recent, dramatic growth in state Attorneys General consumer protection investigations involving key industry sectors such as financial institutions, energy, health care, telecommunications and the internet, it made sense for me to join a firm that is known for its deep bench strength in the public sector, specifically in government investigations, and in the industries of heightened focus for state AG’s."

McCollum served as Florida's attorney general then ran for governor and lost in the Republican primary to Rick Scott. He was previously a Washington lobbyist and member of the U.S. House.
