Bill Nelson has seven times more campaign $ as Connie Mack
Democratic U.S. Sen. Bill Nelson's campaign says he raised another $1.6-million in the first three months of 2012, and now has more than $9.5-million on hand. He may look vulnerable in some polls, but financially he's sitting pretty without a serious primary challenge and heading toward the general election with an overwhelming fiancial advantage.
Republican frontrunner Connie Mack, who faces a tough primary challenge from George LeMieux, says he raised $1-million in the first quarter of the year and has $1.3-million in the bank.
We haven't yet heard updated numbers from LeMieux, who had $1.1-million on hand at the end of 2011, or from Mike McCalister, who had $42,000 on hand.
