Bill Young defends cost of flying bodies of 'wounded warriors'
Rep. C.W. Bill Young took to the House floor on Thursday to denounce what he described as a journalist's question about the cost of flying dead soldiers to their hometowns from Dover Air Force Base. The issue arose on the same day a liberal activist asked Young if he supports an increase in the minimum wage.
Several years ago, Congress passed a law that did away with flying bodies home in the cargo holds of commercial flights and called for charter jets instead. It's unclear who was asking Young about the flights, but it provoked bipartisan outrage on the House floor.
