Bill Young sends his son as stand-in at candidate forum
U.S. Rep. C.W. Bill Young was a no-show for a candidate forum in Gulfport last night, but the Republican incumbent sent his son Billy in his place. Democratic challenger Jessica Ehrlich opted not to stick around with the canddiate's son. The video is from Patch.
"The people of Pinellas are still waiting to hear why Congressman Young voted twice to turn Medicare into a voucher program," Ehrlich said of Young's no show. "After 42 years in Congress; he's lost touch and we need a fresh approach."
The House was in session yesterday. Presumably voters would prefer Young to be doing his job instead of skipping votes for campaign events.
