Bob Graham will co-chair Obama oil spill commission

Graham Bob Graham, the former Florida governor and senator, will be named as co-chairman a new presidential commission to investigate the Gulf oil disaster.

Former EPA administrator William K. Reilly, a Republican, will serve as co-chairman.

President Obama will announce the creation of the seven-member commission tomorrow. Its mission is to come up with recommendations on how to prevent and mitigate future spills.

UPDATE: In his Saturday address, Obama said Graham had "earned a reputation as a champion of the environment, leading the most extensive environmental protection effort in the state’s history." Obama's executive order is here.
