Bobby Jindal to stump with Rick Scott on Friday
Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal will tout his support for Rick Scott at rallies in three Florida cities Friday. The Scott campaign announced that Jindal will be with Scott in Pensacola, Orlando and Jacksonville, with the last stop at Craig Air Center in Jax timed for that important market's 6 p.m. TV newscasts.
Jindal is the second Republican with a national profile to campaign with Scott in recent weeks (the other is Mississippi Gov. Haley Barbour, chairman of the Republican Governors Association). Jindal has achieved a fair amount of admiration from the GOP's conservative wing for his outspoken opposition to federal stimulus money, and is often rumored to be a possible 2012 candidate for president.
