House Speaker John Boehner is apparently not worried about the legal and ethical troubles facing Florida Rep. Vern Buchanan, and will appear with him at a fundraiser Saturday in Sarasota.

An invite sent to the Buzz shows the event is to benefit Boehner and will be held at the Githler home. Tickets start at $500 and jump to $10,000 per couple for a VIP photo reception. Buchanan has for a while now faced scrutiny over campaign contributions given to him by employees and more recently for failing to disclose some business dealings. He says he will be cleared.

But Democrats think the troubles, covered in our pages and highlighted in a recent New York Times story, will hurt his re-election chances.
