Bush and Peterson
Rep. John Peterson of Pennsylvania seemed awfully excited to have Gov. Jeb Bush come by his Washington office this week to talk about drilling - even though the two are philosophically opposed on the issue.
Peterson's office sent out a press release to Pennsylvania reporters titled "Florida Governor Stops By to Talk Energy with Congressman Peterson" that even included a photo of the pair.
During Thursday's 20-minute meeting Peterson gave Bush a small souvenir bottle of oil from Drake’s Well in Titusville and a small metal replica of Drake’s Well itself where oil was first drilled almost 150 years ago.
"I hope no one sees me with these," Bush quipped, according to the press release. "I don’t want people getting the wrong idea!"
