Bush on Skip: He's a real character
Gov. Jeb Bush wasn't bashful when asked Tuesday about state Sen. Walter "Skip" Campbell, the Democrat from Tamarac running for attorney general.
"I think Skip Campbell is a real character," Bush said to reporters before an Orlando fundraiser for the GOP candidate, Bill McCollum. "Sometimes it's hard to take him too seriously."
The state cabinet, Bush said, is a body where everyone has to work as a team. He said Democrat AG Bob Butterworth was a professional, as was Charlie Crist. And what about a potential AG Campbell? "Grandstanding all the time -- that can be a problem," Bush said, implying Campbell might look out for headlines more than Floridians.
On McCollum: "McCollum was focused on terrorism before terrorism was cool."
