Buy a specialty tag, help Justice 2 Jesus

UPDATE: Turns out Brian Pitts' group won't be getting any tag revenues. Waldman just withdrew the amendment...

Last session, gadfly Brian Pitts got Sen. Victor Crist to amend a juvenile justice bill per his suggestion. This session, Rep. Jim Waldman, D-Coconut Creek, wants to send some specialty license tag revenues to none other than ...Pitts' Justice 2 Jesus group.

In an amendment to HB 239, on the floor today, Waldman proposes sending use fees from the tags to the political action committee that Pitts represents in the Capitol.

Rep. Glorioso wants the revenues sent to Faith in Teaching Inc., which promotes faith-based youth education. Sen. Ronda Storms proposes the same in the Senate version of the tag bill, which also comes up for a floor vote today.

This might turn into quite a day for Brian Pitts..."Brian Pitts, Justice 2 Jesus."
