Cappelli plays rough

Republican HD 52 candidate Angelo Cappelli is playing hardball against his underdog primary opponent Ross Johnson. A new mailer by Cappelli casts Johnson as anti-affordable insurance, anti-education accountability, anti-economic growth, and a bad leader.

Ross' campaign manager, Doug McAlarney, said Cappelli violated a verbal promise not to go negative, and sent a letter to Speaker designate Marco Rubio, Jeb Bush and others:  "I believe Republican Leadership should be very concerned about Mr. Cappelli.  I believe Mr. Cappelli is not a man of his word and is a man of whom you should all be very leery of in the future.  I believe it is quite evident that Mr. Cappelli's word is not a bond.  I believe you should approach Mr. Cappelli with caution in your future dealings and be leery of trusting any dealings you have with Mr. Cappelli."
