Bill Heller's late start in the race for state House District 52 gets another boost tonight when recorded calls from Betty Castor go out. The Buzz got a copy of the pitch:

"Good evening, this is Betty Castor and I'm calling to encourage you to support my friend Bill Heller in the Democratic primary for state representative. As president of USF, I worked with Bill to make USF-St. Pete a four-year university. He made that happen, and has been a community leader in many other ways too. With his lifetime of service, there is no one who would serve you better in Tallahassee. I hope you will join me, Betty Castor, in supporting Bill Heller in the Democratic primary on September 5."

Heller is facing Liz McCallum in the Sept. 5 primary.
