CFO Jeff Atwater all over P5 and CPAC, from grassroots to main stage

September

Florida Chief Financial Officer Jeff Atwater isn’t on the ballot, but he looks like he’s keeping a grueling candidate’s schedule during the three-days spanning the Republican Party of Florida Presidency 5/CPAC conferences in Orlando.

He’s co-hosting and attending events with the Florida Federation of Republican Women, the Young Republicans, Tea Party folks, and a “Big 3” reception for the State Committeemen/State Committeewomen/County chairs from each county.

Atwater looks like the only statewide elected official with such a grassroots-heavy schedule (the official schedule is below). He also has a main-stage role at a CPAC panel on balanced budgets, an issue Atwater championed when he was Florida Senate president.

From a press release:

Chief Financial Officer Jeff Atwater has released details regarding his participation in Presidency 5 and CPAC-FL events.  Beginning on Thursday, September 22 through Saturday, September 24, Presidency 5 will feature a nationally-televised Republican presidential candidates debate and the Florida straw poll. The highly-anticipated American Conservative Union’s CPAC-FL events will be held on Friday, September 23 in conjunction with P5.

“Presidency 5 is the first true test for the Republican candidates, taking the pulse of 3500 Republican activists and delegates in the must-win state of Florida,” said CFO Atwater.  “I am proud to join Florida Republicans, the presidential candidates, and Republican leaders from across the country for three days of grassroots politics at its best.”
