Changes coming to Crist's press shop
Gov. Charlie Crist's communications director, Vivian Myrtetus, is resigning Friday, and will take a job at Cory Tilley's P.R. firm, Core Message. Crist's office said Thursday that press secretary Erin Isaac will be promoted to communications director and that Crist will soon hire a new press secretary.
"We will miss her dearly," chief of staff George LeMieux said of Myrtetus, one of the very first people Crist hired in early 2005 to help manage his campaign.
Myrtetus' departure had been rumored for some time, as she has yearned for the chance to spend more time with her two children. "I will miss the governor's office and the press corps dearly," she said. "But kids only grow up once."
