Charlie Crist: free puppies for everybody!
grand spectacle with elephants and floats and a marching band playing
Happy Days Are Here Again.
Each float bore a big sign. The first one said: "$100 Million More for Universities!" Everybody who saw it cheered. The next sign said, "More Per-Pupil Spending!" and that got a big cheer, too. Let's see, what else? There was the "More Money for the Environment" float, the "No More Layoffs" float, the "Economic Gardening" float, and the "Money for Poor Kids' Health Care" float.
At the end of the parade, instead of Santa Claus, there was this big contraption spitting money into the air. People ran alongside, laughing and snatching bills as they flew.
Also, the governor's people were handing out coupons for free puppies. All of this made me happy, because I am in favor of more money for universities and the environment, economic gardening (whatever that is) and money for poor kids.
Also, I like puppies.
