Former Florida Gov. Charlie Crist arrived in Charlotte, N.C., Tuesday afternoon with his wife Carole in preparation for his appearance on the stage of the Democratic National Convention Thursday night. Crist told the Tampa Bay Times he didn't yet know the time of his speech, but that it would be in the evening. What will he say? "I will give a fuller persepctive of (Obama's) wonderful leadership and other than that you'll have to wait to hear."

The former Republican said he wasn't sure of his schedule for the next two days. But his first event? An afternoon, private event where the entertainment was James Taylor, famed singer-songwriter who grew up in the Tarheel State. Crist attended college briefly in North Carolina, playing football for Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem.
