Claude Kirk weighs in on Crist's desire to pardon Jim Morrison
Claude Kirk, Florida's governor at the time of Jim Morrison's Miami incident, tells Gary Fineout that Charlie Crist's proposed pardon is a waste of time.
"There’s a lot more important things to think about than that,” Kirk said in a story for the New York Times. “The right things were done, and Morrison died in the condition he elected to die. ... The state didn’t do anything to him. It tried him and found him guilty. Why would you pardon him, then?”
