Clinton in Kings Point
Sen. Hillary Clinton took her message of supporting Sen. Barack Obama's presidency to King's Point, a condo community in Tamarac.
At times, her popularity seemed to overshadow her message of asking supporters to support Obama. When she started to thank the crowd for supporting her (as a way of talking about the values she shares with Obama) the crowd interrupted her with whoops, claps and cries.
The speech is similar to the one she gave in Boca Raton, with less talk of abortion rights and more emphasis on preserving social security, since the crowd is mostly senior citizens.
She ended the speech with some of the talk of uniting that began her last speech:
"We must do everything we can to elect Sen. Obama," Clinton said. "We may have started on two separate paths, but we are on one journey now."
Again, Clinton appeared casual and comfortable in a crowd of adoring fans. For example, when the lights briefly blinked out in the middle of her speech she said: "That was just a sign from on high."
