Close Call for Linn
From the AP: Reform Party gubernatorial candidate Max Linn landed his plane on Interstate 4 near downtown Orlando Friday and was hospitalized. Linn, a former flight instructor, was the only one aboard the plane, said campaign spokeswoman Liz McCallum.
It wasn't clear why Linn had to land the plane.
Linn was taken to Orlando Regional Medical Center. McCallum said she didn't know the extent of Linn's injuries but believed they weren't life threatening.
The incident snarled traffic on the major east-west interstate through central Florida for hours. Both lanes of traffic were reopened after crews were able to push the plane into the median.
Linn rarely flies alone, McCallum said. She didn't know why he was on the plane by himself Friday. It wasn't clear where he was headed.
