Connie Mack campaign refuses to answer issue questionnaires
The latest sign of Connie Mack IV's less-than-stellar campaign operation: Voters across Florida have been receiving voter guides by the League of Women Voters. The non-partisan league asks candidates to weigh in on no brainer, predictable issues and then distributes their responses. It's not a heavy lift for any campaign.
The latest guide features Democratic Sen. Bill Nelson weighing in on matters like sequestration and the Affordable Care Act, but Mack only gets a photo and some biographical information. "Candidate elected not to respond to the League's questionnaire," a note explains.
"Generally we do not fill questionnaires. We've received countless questionnaires that we did not participate in,'' explains Mack campaign spokesman David James.
