Convention planners look at extending to Friday
It's just a possibility but RNC planners are looking at extending the program to Friday, if Tropical Storm Isaac continues to pose logistical and perception problems.
A Florida Republican operative said the option is being discussed but added it's not being "advocated." Delegates and guests would have to extend hotel rooms and change flights -- an expensive headache.
RNC organizers have scheduled a 5:45 p.m. conference call with reporters.
