Correction: Revenue forecast predicts short-term bump but long-term loss from casinos

Florida's revenue estimating conference concluded on Thursday that the proposed revenue generated by bringing resort casinos to Florida will be a modest $153 million in the first year but may result in between $2 million to $90 million net loss in five years because of the decline in the annual income from the Seminole Tribe.

A previous blog item on this relied on incorrect information. We regret the error. Please check back for an updated story and more details on the revenue forecast.
