Cox-Roush scores Carole Jean Jordan endorsement

Long before Jim Greer and Charlie Crist took their wrecking ball to the Republican Party of Florida, Carole Jean Jordan led the RPOF with nary a scandal. She announced today she's backing Deborah Cox-Roush for RPOF chair in what has become a vicious toxic contest.

Her letter:

Dear RPOF members and friends,

It is with great thoughtfulness that I write to ask you to cast your vote for Deborah Cox-Roush as Chairman of the Republican Party of Florida.

Several candidates running for Chairman are long time friends, all are immensely talented and have special attributes that would be beneficial to our party, but Deborah Cox-Roush is the one most qualified to lead our Party into the 2012 election.  And here is why I believe that to be true.

A little over a year ago, and without a doubt the most turbulent time in our party’s history Deborah quietly entered the race for Vice –Chairman of the RPOF.  She won and as promised formed a partnership with Chairman John Thrasher to take our party back…..she became the backup quarterback, always there when needed……the receiver covering the state of Florida for those important grassroots events when Senator Thrasher simply could not attend.  The person you could most depend on to insure your event was successful.   She fielded the questions of reporters, staff and most important fellow Republicans with honesty and integrity.  They handled this most difficult year and we are better for it.

Deborah, like me, understands the operation of the RPOF, the day to day and the big picture. She understands we have the opportunity through hard work and mega fundraising to regain our reputation as the most successful Political Party in the United States.  This cannot be accomplished easily or by any one individual.  You as members can make this happen by casting your vote for Debbie.

Debbie is governed ethically, firmly supports grassroots activities, and has a comprehensive plan for party development and advancement.  Additionally, Debbie has a full understanding of what the Republican Party of Florida needs as we move forward, developing our programs and preparing to take back the White House and host the Republican National Convention in 2012.

As a small business owner, Debbie has developed first-hand knowledge of best practices, fiscal responsibility, and staff recruitment and development.  As Chairman of the Hillsborough County Republican Executive Committee, Debbie has demonstrated her commitment to Republican success and the creation and execution of popular, non-traditional events, such as her Summer Dinner Series.

Debbie supports the Rural County Initiative, a vital program originated during my term as Chairman, which reinforces the foundation and expansion of the Republican Executive Committees, candidates and clubs in less populated areas.  These areas have proven to be Republican-friendly if proper outreach strategies and funding can be implemented thru the support of the Rural County Initiative.

For all these reasons and many more I ask you to give your support, your vote and the incredibly victorious future of the RPOF to Deborah Cox-Roush.

I look forward to seeing you at the Annual Meeting and will be available for any questions you may have, because our future is in your hands.

Best regards,

Carole Jean Jordan
