Crist amps up pressure on Sansom's college to return money
Gov. Charlie Crist is demanding that Northwest Florida State College reimburse $310,000 it has already received in a $6 million appropriation secured by Rep. Ray Sansom for a controversial airport building.
And the governor has put the Legislature on notice that he intends to stop the school from receiving the additional $5.6 million.
Crist's letter comes a day before the board of trustees meet to decide the fate of the project -- which only recently went out to bid -- and that of college president Bob Richburg, who was indicted on official misconduct charges along with Sansom. (Read the letter here)
