Crist on Davis' voting attendance: 'Pathetic'

Charlie Crist is turning up the heat on Jim Davis, going after him Wednesday for his poor voting attendance in Congress. "Ninety percent of life is showing up. Show up!" Crist said on a flight from Orlando to Miami with three reporters.

He noted that a congressman running for governor in Idaho -- three time zones away -- has missed a handful of votes. "This excuse that you can't do it because you're running for governor is pathetic. Ridiculous."

"Maybe your job didn't matter to anybody. Then why did you run for Congress to begin with? That's lame."

UPDATE: Replies Davis spokesman Josh Earnest: “Unfortunately, ‘just showing up’ actually constitutes 90% of what Charlie has done in the Cabinet. Whatever the other ten percent was, it had nothing to do with lowering property taxes or standing up to the insurance industry to protect Florida homeowners.”
