Crist to sign boot camp claims bill
The parents of Martin Lee Anderson will be on hand tomorrow afternoon when Gov. Charlie Crist signs the $4.8-million claims bill in the death of the 14-year-old. Anderson was roughed up by guards at the Bay County boot camp for juvenile offenders.
His parents have already gotten $200,000 from the state, the maximum award allowed without a claims bill. They have also settled with the Bay County Sheriff's Office for $2.4-million.
