Meeks, inspector general of the State Board of Administration; Larry Ringers, former chief of staff to Lt. Gov. Of those candidates, Currington and Hearn had applied for the last vacancy on the appellate court. Other candidates include Scott D. Makar, solicitor general, T. The JNC will interview the candidates on July 23 and 24, according to JNC chairman George Levesque. The JNC must present a list of candidates to Crist by July 31 to fill the vacancy on the court created by the retirements of Judge Edwin B. Browning, Jr. and Judge Michael E. Allen. Levesque said the panel will give the governor a list of between six and 12 candidates for the governor to choose from for both posts.
