Charlie Crist took a brief tour of the inaugural setup Monday afternoon on the east portico of the Old Capitol, where he will be sworn in at noon Tuesday as Florida's 44th governor. St. Petersburg Times photographer Scott Keeler was there (click on pictures to enlarge).
The governor-elect was joined by chief of staff George LeMieux and Jim Magill, a former aide to Gov. Jeb Bush who is an old hand at inauguration logistics and is volunteering his time to the Crist event.
After a couple of days of steady rains, the Capitol grounds were a bit slippery and muddy. But Monday afternoon was dry and the forecast for Tuesday's swearing-in is partly cloudy skies and temperatures in the mid-60s.
