Crossroads' new Florida ad says Obama has broken promises
Crossroads GPS said today it will spend $25 million on TV ads over the next month in Florida and other key states. The first buy is $8 millon for this ad that will begin tomorrow and run through May 31 in Florida, Colorado, Iowa, Michigan, North Carolina, New Hampshire, Nevada, Ohio, Pennsylvania and Virginia.
The ad has mixed claims. The final one about Obama's promise to cut the deficit by half at the end of his first term is true. But others are misleading, including one about millions of people being forced off employer-provided health care. Politifact said that's half-true.
