Jim Davis, who participated in early voting in Tampa today, produced a woman who said she stood in line with him at the poll in November 2000. Her name is Susan Fox, a lawyer who lives on Davis Island.

UPDATE: "I was reading the paper this morning and I saw where it said Jim hadn't voted in 2000. And I thought that was not true because I stood in line with him over on Davis Island for 45 minutes to an hour waiting to vote for Al Gore."

A television reporter asked if Davis would submit to a lie detector test (usually not a great question to get days before an election). Standing beside Fox, Davis brushed it off: "I think this lays to rest what was an unfortunate misunderstanding."
