Davis Releases First TV Ad
Jim Davis will run his first television spot beginning Tuesday on network stations, his campaign said today. The ad, titled "My Friend," features Bob Graham, the former governor and U.S. senator. You can view it here.
"Jim Davis has what it takes to be a great governor for Florida," Graham says. He goes on to tout Davis' efforts to reduce class size, fight oil drilling off Florida's coast and President Bush's "attemps to gut Social Security."
Davis is the last of the four major candidates for governor to run a TV ad. But he gets help from one of Florida's most recognizable and popular politicians. Produced by Anita Dunn, the ad will run in south Florida, Tampa Bay and parts of north Florida, home of Democratic rival Rod Smith. Details were still being worked out, the Davis campaign said.
