DC's new miracle drug: Spenditol

This spoof of a prescription drug ad (Ask your doctor or congressman if your conscience is strong enough for Spenditol) targets U.S. Sen. Bill Nelson in the midst of the rancourous debt ceiling debate.

(Other versions targets fellow Democratic Sens. Sherrod Brown of Ohio, Ben Nelson of Nebraska and Jon Tester of Montana).

The ad is the largest buy ever from Concerned Women for America, a conservative Christian group "helping our members across the country bring Biblical principles into all levels of public policy." The group, which is running the ad through its legislative action committees, claims to be the nation's largest women's organization dedicated to public policy.
