DiBenigno: 'We fought the good fight'
Arlene DiBenigno, director of the McCain campaign in Florida, said Obama’s overwhelming TV spending advantage (8 to 1 by her count) in Florida and the tanking economy conspired against them.
“I wish we could have had those resources. We certainly fought the good fight with having him in the state as much as he was," she told the Buzz. "I don’t believe any other Republican could have done what John McCain did tonight, not at all. He did a tremendous job."
Did the national campaign give you enough? "Hindsight is 20/20. Looking at the map of this country and knowing all the battleground states, they made the best decision. Florida was fought very well and hard."
