Did Davis miss another vote?

The Republican Party of Florida says so.

Citing the same paperwork that questioned his participation in the 2000 presidential election, RPOF says Davis did not vote in person or via absentee in the 1986 general election. Among the candidates: Bob Graham for U.S. Senate. "Jim Davis has not shown up for his constituents, nor has he shown up to support friends like Bob Graham. Why would we think he'll show up for the people of Florida," Carole Jean Jordan said.

Davis said he could not remember a vote 20 years ago and pointed at the Republican expedition as a sign they are scared he'll defeat Charlie Crist, whose victory was once a fait accompli.

"I never said I was perfect but I have a strong voting record," Davis said outside a Broward deli Friday night. He briefly turned the conversation to Crist's lack of voting for ex-convicts seeking restoration of civil rights. Then, he continued: "I'm happy to go back and look at my voting record. What are we going back 20 years now? Are they that desperate, we're going back 20 years?"
