The DNC's response to Tampa as 2012 GOP convention site

From a Democratic strategist: As Republicans prepare to announce they have selected Tampa as their convention  city, Democrats have released a memo detailing President Obama and Congressional Democrats’ record in Florida and Tampa, highlighting how the President has created jobs and provided access to affordable health care in the Sunshine State.  The memo implies that Florida would be far worse off today if Republicans – who opposed President’s Obama’s economic recovery act and health insurance reform legislation – had won in 2008 and the President’s initiatives had not been enacted.  Democrats will be expected to argue that by choosing to hold their convention in Florida, Republicans are only drawing more attention to how Florida has suffered under Republican rule, how Republicans are on the defensive after ceding Florida to President Obama in 2008, and how the Republican Party of Florida has been plagued by scandal, infighting and disarray.
