Donald Trump 'statesman of the year' dinner is a sell out in Sarasota
It's a sell out for The Donald.
The Sarasota GOP said today it has sold more than 950 tickets for Sunday's "2012 Statesman Dinner" honoring Donald Trump. “This is the largest crowd we have ever had attend a ticketed function," party chairman Joe Gruters said. "There has never been anything like it, the press coverage, the excitement and the overwhelming number of people wanting to witness Mr. Trump receive the honor of Statesman of the Year has been bigger than anything we have ever dealt with before."
More from Gruters below.
"We have people coming in from overseas and across the Country to witness Mr. Trump receive the Statesman of the Year award. Donald Trump is the biggest name in America and the Republican Party of Sarasota is honored to be able to give him this award. “
“The 2012 election is all about jobs and the economy and Donald Trump has the ability to deliver the votes our Nominees, Governor Mitt Romney and his running mate Congressman Paul Ryan, need to ensure victory in November.”
“Mr. Trump cuts through political rhetoric and tells it like it really is. He is a champion of the people and a shining example for others to follow. “
The event will also feature remarks from Florida State CFO Jeff Atwater and State Speaker Designate Chris Dorworth.
