Drafting Danny Webster for Congress

D_webster_1_2 D_webster_2_2Dennis Baxley was in Tallahassee this week and doing his best to crank up talk about former state Sen. Daniel Webster running for Congress.

"I think he has a lot to offer the American people," said Baxley, the former state rep who now heads up the Christan Coalition of Florida. (Baxley held a Bible under his left arm as he stood outside a committee room on Wednesday.)

Supporters want Webster to take on Democratic Rep. Alan Grayson, who unseated Ric Keller of Orlando in November. To that end, Baxley is throwing a roast for Webster in Orlando a few days after the legislative session, with proceeds going to the Christian Coalition.
