Ethics Comm finds probable cause for violations by Adam Hasner, Nancy Argenziano
You may remember the ethics complaint filed against Republican senate candidate Adam Hasner for failing to file a required disclosure form after leaving the legislature. Now the Florida Commission on Ethics has found probable cause to pursue the matter.
"We expected the commission’s finding, since Adam never disputed that he was a few weeks late on filing a form he didn’t know he needed to file and for which he did not receive a mailed notice,'' said Hasner adviser Rick Wilson. "There was no change in his financial filing from 2009 to 2010. We'll continue to work with the commission to resolve this matter."
Its press release also had this:
Probable cause was found to believe that NANCY ARGENZIANO, former Public Service Commissioner and previously a Florida Senator, violated Florida's financial disclosure laws by improperly filing her 2006 Form 6, Form 6F for 2007, and her 2006 Form 1. However, the Commission will take no further action on the allegations because the omissions appeared to be mere error, and all the information required to be reported was disclosed. No probable cause was found to believe that she violated additional standards for PSC Commissioners by failing to act in a manner that promotes public confidence in the integrity and impartiality of the PSC by her failure to make proper disclosure on the 2006 and 2007 forms.
