Executive claims he lost airport appointment after declining to donate to Rick Scott
Orlando Sentinel: An aviation-company executive contends he was not picked to serve on the board of Orlando International Airport because he would not raise money for Republican Gov. Rick Scott.
"I'm disappointed. I thought I was extremely qualified," said Dave Gordon, president of ETS, an Orlando aviation-logistics company.
Gordon maintains he was told by a prominent Republican fundraiser in June that to secure the post he needed to contribute $10,000 to Let's Get to Work, a political-action committee that backs Scott. He said he refused....
