The Florida GOP says it will re-release the Republican Governor Association's TV spot "Fired" that bashes Democratic gubernatorial candidate Alex Sink for having overseen Bank of America in Florida when thousands of people were laid off as part of its merger with Barnett Bank. We've seen that RGA spot a lot in Tampa Bay already, and the RPOF says this is another six figure buy.
"Floridians deserve to know the truth about Alex Sink’s disturbing record of accepting more than $8 million in salary and bonuses, while at the same time being responsible for the loss of thousands of Florida jobs," said a statement from party chairman John Thrasher, who last year donated to Sink's CFO re-election campaign. "We are grateful to our friends at the RGA for their investment in the Florida governor’s race, and looking forward to demonstrating our commitment to victory by sponsoring this important advertisement.
